upcoming shows!

I'm really excited about the upcoming shows, but I am also a little nervous. I am afraid that I am not going to have very many pieces to submit because the only ones I like have already been in a show, and I don't really have any more right now that I think would make it in. If I had to choose which ones I would submit, I would choose my day and night and season collages. I am hoping that I can collage a couple more pieces by the beginning of april so I will have some more to try and get into the ones in april and may. I don't think my drawings and still life's are as strong as other peoples so I would only try to get my collages submitted if I could.

I tried throwing on the wheel yesterday...and failed. I had a bowl going that was starting to look okay and I was getting really excited about it, but then it collapsed. I tried 3 times and none of them worked:( This makes me really sad because I really really want to make a tea pot on the wheel, but if I can't even throw a basic cup or bowl..  I will probably not be able to throw my tea pot. However, It was only my first time, so hopefully the next time will go better and I will throw something that I will be able to keep:)

I like making collages and the reason I do is because I like the overall look of them when their finished. Also for me I think they are somewhat easier then trying to paint or use pastels or charcoal or any other medium because the colors are already there, you just have to find them. Although I really have trouble coming up with ideas of different things to make and come up with a reason behind it.
