I like making collages and the reason I do is because I like the overall look of them when their finished. Also for me I think they are somewhat easier then trying to paint or use pastels or charcoal or any other medium because the colors are already there, you just have to find them. Although I really have trouble coming up with ideas of different things to make and come up with a reason behind it.

I think you are crazy for thinking collages are easier than paint or any thing else. Your patience really is something incredible. Knowing how to find the correct colors, and perfect shades is amazing. You do a great job picturing images in your head and putting them together through collages.
ReplyDeleteI think you do a fantastic job with collages. They're really complex looking and almost look like a puzzle when they're finished. I don't think that they always have to have a reason or meaning behind it, just so long as it's something you like because that's what art is ya know?? :) I think you should keep up with the collages. YOu're oing a great job! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your collages, and I am envious of how detailed they are; I don't think I would have the patience for all the small squares. I really hope you do more of these. This is just a random suggestion, but I think it would be really interesting to see you make one with bigger pieces of paper; it would be a little less detailed but would look neat and sorta abstract.

I do not have the patience for collages, you do a beautiful job:) however, I agree with camron. I think you are insane when it comes to thinking that it is easier... maybe in some ways over others, but i think it takes more time.
